Description: During my junior year at Northwestern, I held a leadership role for Residential College Board, the advisory body for Northwestern University's ten residential colleges. I joined RCB to help build community across the entirety of the res. college system beyond Shepard.

My Role: My role as VP of Inter-College Relations within Residential College Board primarily involved planning and executing Field Day and overseeing all ten res. college's intramural teams. Similar to my time at Shepard Res. College, the pandemic presented a challenge during my time in RCB. I overcame this obstacle and built community and spirit within the residential college system.

Field Day Planning

The first Field Day since the start of the pandemic approached during the spring of my sophomore year
I communicated with Norris University Center to reserve the space on Northwestern's lakefill to host the event
I also ensured participants signed waivers and obtained proper documentation to host the event
I contacted and contracted the university center and a vendor to obtain a speaker system and inflatables, respectively

Field Day Execution

I led the execution of RCB's first-ever 2-day Field Day event
I MC'ed the event, announcing matchups and winners
I DJ'ed the event, playing popular and crowd-pleasing music
I managed and ran the inflatable joust, dodgeball, and tug-a-war tournaments
I led Shepard Res. College to the dodgeball championship!
